The following notes are about my approach to maintaining a high
level of quality in my fine art printmaking.
Each of my prints is fully produced in my North Wales Studio.
Following a thought provoking idea, I begin by forming a large scale handmade collage work, using fine art quality coloured papers. This is the foundation of an abstract work. It proceeds via a dedicated colour management process to be accurately scanned and printed to form a limited edition, usually 30 fine art prints.
Each image is printed on a standard A2+ substrate.
During the printing process, I hand feed each A2+ substrate into the printer and inspect each print to ensure its quality.
I am a participant in the Fine Art Trade Guild ArtSure scheme and I fully adhere to the print presentation standards set by the scheme.This offers assurance as noted below.
Anyone considering my prints can be confident of the quality of the professional processes involved. Key features include wide format scanning and printing equipment, high definition range inkjet inks, velin museum rag 315gsm premium inkjet papers and full colour management processes used in its production. Each print's history is ArtSure registered.
Finally, I number, title and sign each print which then becomes part of a limited edition of usually 30 prints. This is the key final artwork prepared for presentation and based on the preparatory hand formed collage work.
